Unpaid item dispute and what to do about feedback

Have been on ebay years but have had my first buyer not pay for an item, a expensive item too. I was away a week after auction ended so asked them to pay if they wanted it posted before i went, they didnt and still hadnt when i returned so started unpaid item process.

What im confused about is on the unpaid case page it says have you received payment yes/no and an option at the bottom to close case, but it wont let me check the box to say no payment recieved. above it says buyer has till the 23rd to pay, does that mean i wont be able to check the box till tommorrow? if i close the case as it offers below i assume i lose out? which is better, wait till tommorrow?

The buyer has royally peeved me, no contact whatsoever until i started the unpaid process and then a short message saying ive bought(a similar but higher spec item) another so dont want yours.

I really want to leave a warning for other buyers but assume theres no way of doing that now sellers cant leave negs?? (what a insane idea, makes me want to not bother selling as its not really fair is it)

When you can open an unpaid case depends on your settings, so you probably can't till tomorrow now, you can set your account so buyers have to pay immediately they have won the auction, you can also set how soon a unpaid case can be opened in your account settings think it is from 7 -30 days.
Although you cannot leave negative feedback, click the positive and leave a comment saying you have been messed around, at least others can then see it. I know I check them and have used and seen this done.

you can't close the case until the time you opened it, so if you opened it at 3pm you can close at 3pm on the 23rd, and not 1 minute earlier.

No you can't leave a neg, nor can you leave negative statement on a positive rating. It can be removed and you will get a strike against you for doing so.

You can click no once complete time period has passed. Is if you raised unpaid case at 8pm you cab close until after 8pm today.

Agree unfair about not being about to leave neg feedback.

Agree wouldnt risk leaving negative on a positive. Not worth being sanctioned for.
