Neutral feedback

Just had my first feedback that is anything other than positive on two items bought by the same seller with an accompanying comment "good". Am a bit bemused by this as it's not exactly constructive criticism and I can't see what I can have done wrong. If anything I downplay the condition of goods and, while for packaging I reuse things like the clear bags Boden send clothes in and then wrap in brown paper so nothing fancy (I usually sell unbreakable things like clothes), it's fit for purpose and I only charge for the postage itself (and often make a loss!) so no one is being charged for unnecessary jiffy bags etc. Should I ask them to elaborate or is it not worth it? I don't want them to feel hassled and give me a negative rating instead!

Had also just sent off refund as had combined postage - seller hadn't checked I would do this and hadn't requested it but I don't buy when people are obviously bumping up postage

email the buyer and ask maybe? Just leave calm measured reply then move on is my advice. Sometimes there is no pleasing some people.

Thanks. If there are no negative side affects from a neutral rating I think I'll just ignore it. If someone decides to look at what the neutral feedback was, all they are going to see if "good" which presumably won't put them off!!

well they may have left low stars which can have negative effects so may be worth asking them to revise

I don't think many buyers realise what neutral feedback really means in the context of eBay. Does this seller regularly leave neutral feedback? Is she/he a new seller?

Sorry - I meant a new eBayer, not seller....
