can't find it anywhere and want to make sure i send it to correct one.

Also I do I have to pay postage even though item isn't as described?

Really had enough of eBay at the moment!!!

You will have to pay postage recorded and claim back off seller. How much was the item? Would it make sense to ask for a partial refund and keep it instead? Also, just send the seller a message to send you the address for returns or have you tried and been ignored?

fergoose · 16/02/2012 20:00

if you open a case with eBay not as described, tick the box other and write in 'refund' - once escalated eBay should refund you without the need for a return.

onadietcokebreak · 16/02/2012 20:37

I will try that. Seller says return but not offered postage.

Am fed up with shit sellers at the moment!!

Well if that's the case I don't blame you!

onadietcokebreak · 19/02/2012 05:46

Paypal have finally even me address to return to- at my own cost.

So will be £7/8 down and no item.

Unless they refund postage I'm going to leave a neg. Fed up with shit sellers at the moment. So far left my first two negs in a week!

can't you find a cheaper way to return the item - have you looked at different courier sites?

onadietcokebreak · 19/02/2012 12:03

Will have a look at couriers but hate the fact I will need to wait in- plus need to know will get signature. The one she used didnt but think she was meant to.

Do you ever get periods like this fergoose? When eBay is just trouble!!

OP posts:
fergoose · 19/02/2012 12:32

yep - both as a buyer and seller. I have had 3 items just not arriving this week, faulty goods and sellers claiming item posted when it wasn't, then blaming snow, illness, etc. I think you get waves of nuisance then all good for a while :) Can be v frustrating and disheartening.

BloodyDogEscapedAgain · 20/02/2012 00:00

One seller was slow to post then told me its because they were moving.

Item arrived and it wasn't as described. Seller refused refund so never gave me an address to send them back to and had obviously moved...

I never got my refund because eBay said I hadn't returned the item. Very frustrating and neg feedback doesn't get you your money back does it.

Some bloody sellers make me GRRR

BloodyDogEscapedAgain · 20/02/2012 00:01

Her words to me were. "do what you want with the item but you'll not get a refund" b*ch she was right though wasn't she!!!

onadietcokebreak · 20/02/2012 09:48

By opening a dispute I got address from paypal so if your seller hadn't updated her address and you send it back tracked you would have got refund.

Off to the post office to send mine.

OP posts:
BloodyDogEscapedAgain · 20/02/2012 20:59

eBay never told me that. I assumed that they could see the responses she sent to me in the dispute. They just said that because I hadn't sent them back then I wasn't entitled to a refund. I tried to appeal the decision but because I didn't do it within 15mins of the dispute closing then I couldn't Confused. I've wrote it off now.

fergoose · 20/02/2012 21:07

they are meant to give you several days (7 I think?) to return the item to the seller, didn't you escalate the dispute then? If so they would have told you to return it and give them the tracking info then you would have got your money back

did you pay by credit card - couldn't you do a chargeback with them?

BloodyDogEscapedAgain · 20/02/2012 21:23

No paypal is linked to debit card.

Nobody gave me the address to return the item.

The seller naver answered my last question within the dispute when I said htat she can resell the item with the corrct description. I asked her again for her address. Nobody gave me her address not her or eBay.

It wasn't a lot of money but more the principal. I'm sure the seller knew what she was doing she didn't have a lot of feedback only 13 or something but who's to say she hasn't been banned and using a differnet email account??!!

fluffygal · 20/02/2012 21:49

When I have had a buyer say the item was damaged I paid for them to return the item, and also paid for a new one to be sent out. I was really annoyed to find there was nothing wrong with the original item though, what they said was damaged wasn't and sold that item to someone else no problem! So was out of pocket through the buyers fault, However, the seller is not responsible to pay for the return postage, but it is good customer service to do so if the item is not as described/damaged (ie not the customers fault!).

BloodyDogEscapedAgain · 20/02/2012 22:37

Oh she was completely dodgy.

It was a pair of shoes. They were black patent shoe boots but the left one had a white mark on them as though they had been scuffed along something white or something.

In all the photos she only showed the right shoe. Then the last picture was of them both in the box. The left shoe was laid on the side so that you couldn't see the mark.

She definately knew what she was doing.
