Opening a dispute - what am I doing wrong?

Hi, I'm trying to "open a case" with ebay - have filled in the online form but whenever I click the "open a case" button, it bounces back with red writing asking me to fill in all fields. As far as I can see, I HAVE filled them all in! Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've never had to open a dispute before and I wonder if I'm missing something obvious!

Also, am unsure of the general etiquette - I contacted the seller on 11 Feb to give them a chance to put things right but so far have had no reply. Should I leave it longer? Is there a time limit on disputes? I bought the item on 30 Jan, if that is relevant. Thanks in advance for any ideas...

have you ticked the terms and conditions box at the bottom?

Thanks for replying, yes I have (although each time it bounces back, it has magically unticked itself!). Am flummoxed as to what I'm doing wrong. Confused

try a different browser maybe?

Try clearing your cookies and starting again, sounds as though you've got stuck in a computer loop somewhere. !

:) Thanks - the seller has now replied once and apologised so not feeling quite as gung-ho about opening a case. But, but, but - it's a silly issue really and not worth big money (£3.60!) no postage was paid by the seller (I paid £4 for postage costs!) AIBU to open a dispute now? Received reply saying sorry, etc on Wed morning I think (bit of a backstory about how seller as broken arm and got husband to send item Hmm) and still no refund to my paypal account. Am tempted to just leave neg feedback and leave it at that. What do you think?

So you have received the item now? You can't open a dispute for a refund of postage costs as eBay won't give you a partial refund.

I would prob leave a neg to be honest.

Thanks fergoose - I didn't know that about partial refunds. I just don't know how much time is reasonable to allow her to pay back the postage costs - she has now replied and knows that I'm out of pocket but STILL hasn't refunded the extra money i had to pay to the Royal Mail to actually get the blooming item. I've been so lucky with ebay before now - never had any problems. I'll send a message again, saying neg feedback unless I receive refund by Weds... It's a shame really as could all have been resolved easily by now...
