What feedback to leave?

I bought a pair of shoes on eBay on Sunday and they arrived today so very quick postage, but they seem to have ink marks on one of them. They were really cheap (£4.99 plus p&p) so not worth sending back but not sure what feedback to leave?

I know its against the whole idea of ebay but I never leave negative feedback. If I'm not happy I don't leave feedback. I would if it was something expensive though and I would persue a refund.

contact the seller first then leave feedback - it would be unfair to leave a neg without contacting them first

Oh I wouldn't leave a negative as they aren't bad enough to leave a negative.

I agree - contact the seller first and see what they say. I think too often people jump into negative feedback without talking about it first.

I they not worth sending back, perhaps the seller would offer a partial refund? As, even if it's just little marks, if it wasn't mentioned in the listing, then they're not as described.

if you open a not as described case with eBay and tick the box other and write in refund alongside, eBay will probably refund you in full without the need for a return.
