cash for local collection?

I'm sure someone here said I should only accept cash for local collection, as the buyer could pay, collect the item and then reverse the paypal payment, meaning they got the item for free. Is this true?

It's what I always bear in mind. If I collect or someone collects from me I insist on cash and have printed the item description and give a receipt or get them to sign it to say payment received.

that's a good idea. I suppose the onus is on the seller to ensure they accept the most secure form of payment, and on the buyer to prove that the item has been paid for.
