Payment showing as 'unclaimed'?

Bought something on Ebay over the weekend and paid immediately, but the payment icon on my Ebay purchase page is showing a little egg timer. I checked it on Paypal and it says the payment is unclaimed by the seller, and that they are unregistered.

Sent them a message on Ebay but no reply so far.

What does this mean? They do have good seller feedback btw.

I wonder if they used the wrong email address when they listed their item. Ie. The wrong paypal email address.

I had this problem as a seller where eBay was plucking a really old email address of mine that no longer existed. I had made sales but was unable to get the cash. I phones eBay and paypal and it was sorted by adding my old email address to my profile (not as straightforward as it seemed)

So I think the seller may have to sort it out at their end. I Would drop them an email and just query it.

But someone more experienced may be along soon with better advice!

I have had exactly tge same problem as sleepy. When I used tge iPhone app for some strange reason it picked up an old email address that I hadn't used for ages.

Yep, it happened when I was doing it via iPhone too.
