Item returned by RM and no contact from buyer

I'm fairly new to selling on Ebay but at the back end of last year I sold a few items. One of the packages, sent recorded, has been returned to me by Royal Mail saying that the recipient didn't collect it after they put a card through her door. I've emailed her twice now and had no response.

I realise that she could have been taken ill, hospitalised, or worse, but is there anything else I should do?

I would just issue them a refund if they are not responding.

I had this before - waited weeks for the buyer to contact me but they never did - so upon advice from Ebay refunded just the item cost not what it cost to post

Thanks both. I will do that.

if the buyer opens a not received dispute they will be entitled to a full refund, not just the item price.

I'll keep that it mind but the item was received back to me before New Year and posted before Christmas. I've sent 2 emails with no response. I'll just refund now and re list later.

I've done a refund. Will let you know if I hear any more. Hope she's ok and hasn't just gone off the cardigan!
