International buyer has bid for UK only item

I thought that i had set my preferences to UK only buyers, someone won an item yesterday (only £8) and now I have had an email from them asking me to invoice them for the item. I am confused as I thought only people within UK could bid. What are my options now? Can I reply to the winning bidder and cancel the item? I do feel a bit mean but i am a bit wary of posting internationally.
thanks

Never had a problem a problem sending to overseas buyers mousy make sure that you charge properly for the postage. They may change their mind once they see how much international
Postage is.

Mousy = just. WTF iPhone?

or if they don't pay then on day 4 open a non paying bidder case to get your fees back, or they may agree to cancel the transaction

both are done via the resolution centre

also tighten your buyer requirements to prevent international bidders.

oh bugger. went to post office today to price up cost of airmail, in the meantime the buyer has now paid (uk postage). i see that they asked for an invoice so i have just mailed to say what the additional cost will be, is this allowed???

also i am sure that i had specified UK only, so how can i be sure that my settings are set?

you need to refund them and then either send an invoice for the correct amount or cancel the transaction

you also need to set your buyer requirements

thank you. i have contacted the buyer, issued a refund reinvoiced for the new postage and contacted them again. so hopefully they will pay the increased charges and i wont have awful feedback. if they dont want to pay the additional charge, will they raise a dispute against me? am still quite new to this and its a minefield Shock

ps i have once again ticked 'block buyers to locations that i dont post to' so i do hope that its now set!

You need to go to your settings and change your settings. That way overseas people wont even see your listings
