Buyer didn't get PO card - item returned to me

The buyer says she didn't get a card from the PO - and I believe her. I sent the item recorded signed for on 13 Dec, now it has been returned to me as she didn't pick it up.
If she wants me to re-send, who pays the postage (£5.67)?

If I were you I would pay to resend it then call Royal Mail and tell them you want that amount refunding to you as they failed to leave a card

It seems a common occurrence - lazy posties I reckon

But, no proof they didn't leave a card, and the tracking details say they did.

surely it is worth calling royal mail to ask though isn't it?

I know as a buyer I would not be happy being asked to pay postage twice.

I agree, am off to PO now and will ask there. Thing is the item sold for only £15 and postage was £5.67, as I said, but only £4 to buyer.
