I've just ebayed a few bits and pieces, I'm by no means a regular, and it shows.. I sold a toy, for £2.20, and as I was listing it I weighed it, rounded it up slightly, and costed it out as First Class (cost price about £3.50 I think, charging £4) or Parcel post. Now that I've packed it for despatch in a nice sturdy box with packaging around it, it weighs more, and First class would be £4.90.
The buyer's paid for First class (he paid within half an hour of the auction ending, via paypal), but I've emailed him to ask if he'd mind me sending it by courier, which will be exactly £4, and might be a bit more reliable that the Royal Mail anyway. He hasn't responded. Was I out of order to do that?
Also, I've emailed separately to confirm his address, which although it's confirmed on ebay, reads like this:
XX Name Court
6-8
London
Postcode
United Kingdom
Is the postcode and (presumably flat) number ok for me to be sure that it'll get there and be delivered? There isn't a road name, but looking on googlemaps it looks like it's actually the A5 or something, so maybe there is no name?
The longer I get no response, the longer it'll take to get to him. Do I just wait until he responds, or stick in in with the courier now, on the basis that the courier will at least get a signature on delivery?
Sorry this is long, but any help would be appreciated!
Cheers..
