Courier for Christmas presents

Sorry, not eBay exactly! Posted in Christmas but was directed over here to you knowledgable bods-

We have always sent presents by Royal Mail in the past (all extended family live miles away) but in recent years we have spent almost the same as on the presents ). This year, I thought we had been better organised and have been dropping presents off and passing via other people throughout the autumn to avoid posting. PIL have now said the planned trip next weekend is off , we won't be seeing them until later in January so I have a load of not-post-friendly gifts stuck in my house.

Has anyone sent Christmas gifts by courier? Is it cheaper and how do you go about it?

TIA Xmas Smile

I use myHermes for EBay stuff, they are by far the cheapest I have ever come across & generally I have had very good service from them.

Fab, thanks, have just looked at their websote and it seems pretty straightforward (& reasonable cost too)! Thanks!
