why would seller have reversed my payment? no email!

earlier this week I paid for a christmas decoration that I had won last week. anyway, last night I got a message from paypal saying the payment had been refunded. nothing from the seller, no explanation or note. I have messaged them to make sure that there was no problem with the payment or it wasnt a mistake and they havent got back to me.

Hi, as a seller on eBay and two handmade websites, I agree its wrong of him not to email you. Did the seller not put a message on the paypal refund ? - there is a window on there where the seller can say why the refund is being made. Has he marked the item as dispatched or cancelled the sale?. It could be he had more listings than the actual number of items for sale and had to cancel yours as he run out of stock.

No note on the refund and haven't heard a peep. Sale hasn't been cancelled either, just a refunded icon on the item.

make sure you leave appropriate feedback - they are a non performing seller and you can also report them to eBay for that.

And if they try to cancel the sale to claim fees back you can refuse it if you want

Can I just ask how long did it take you to pay, its just that you state that you paid this week for something bought last week. Could an unpaid case have been opened and closed and the seller blocked you and didn't get your message. Was the item relisted, can you buy again if you really want it.

3 days, I can't find anything for the seller though, no feedback, no other items. Haven't had any notifications from ebay either. Haven't heard anything from the seller at all though.
