Have buyer whom claimed non delivery, I suspect is dodgy, but I sent second class so nothing I can do.

Gave it the required time and the apologized and issued full refund for item and postage through PayPal.

NOW buyer claims refund has not arrived and says I must refund her again.

What do I do, at what point can I just tell her to sod off? Am feeling deeply irritated (am also pre-menstrual, not helping).

You can't refund again. For all you know she's had the item and the money. Has the money gone out of your account? You'll have to apologise and say you can't do anymore.

I sold an item recently and unbeknown to me eBay dropped an old email address into my details and I didn't notice. The buyer paid to this email address in paypal and I had to go through hell and high water with both eBay and paypal to get my money. Turns out it was a technical error on ebays part. These things do happen, but if you've already refunded once I wouldn't do it again. Tell her to take it up with eBay.

did you refund the original payment via paypal or did you pay them as a separate payment for the amount?

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 02/12/2011 20:58

I do suspect she does have the item and the money, something about the whole process has rung alarm bells.

fergoose I did refund the original payment via paypal so surely she just has to take it up with them now?

well you refunded correctly then - clicking on payment in payment, scrolling down and clicking refund? If you didn't refund this way the buyer could also file claim with eBay and get money back twice. Tell your buyer the original payment has been refunded, and it will have gone back to where it was paid from I think. Also she would have had an email telling her the payment was refunded

Send her to eBay live chat I reckon

Yep, did exactly as you describe above, have always refunded this way.

Have sent her an email telling her what has happened and that she needs to look into it her end.

well you have done all you can, she sounds a flipping nightmare! - let her complain to eBay then. I hope this is the last you hear of it.
