I have a pair of kids trousers that i had listed. I got an email from someone asking would i post to romania to which i said yes but no idea of cost. So then they tell me they cant bid because i have said id only post to uk, i did try and change this but for some reason i couldnt.
The listing has now ended unsold but she has emailed saying to put her id in to something as this allows her to bid. My dh is making me paranoid saying it sounds well dodgy.

Does this sound normal??

Meant to say did look at their id and they are listed as being in romania, have feedback 100% although only around 60 transactions. it all seems fine to me but cant help being wary as dh is more suspicious than i am!

you can add the buyer to your exemption list here to allow them to bid

it's entirely up to you if you want to sell abroad - I don't but many do successfully.

That doesn't sound at all dodgy to me! I dont live in the UK and I routinely have this problem where sellers have restricted the sale/postage to within the UK. If you dont want to post outside of the UK then that's your perogative, but if you do want to allow bidders from, lets say, within the EU then you have 2 options. You can either change your buyer requirements on ebay or alternatively as a once off you could add this particular buyer to your list of permitted bidders. I cant check it on ebay now for you but if you key in "permitted bidders list" on search on ebay it will show you how to do this. Its very simple I promise you! I've had sellers do this for me in the past.
