How easy it is to claim from RM when you posted 1st Class recorded?

I posted the item on Thursday and it still hasn't arrived. I'm a little concerned as usually recorded items arrive the next day.

How long should I wait before refunding seller? (7 working days?)

Have any of you made a claim and how easy was it to get your money back?

You should be able to get a form from the PO to fill in, i think it takes a while to get your money back but you will get it, i would leave it 7 days from the day you posted and then refund.

an item isn't considered lost until 15 working days which is 3 weeks. Is the buyer hassling you after 3 days?

Yes they only wanted to know if it had been posted yet but they must know I have because I always click 'despatched' on the day I post. I do hope it hasn't gone missing as the postmen aren't very reliable at this time of the year. I came home last week to find my daughter's Innotab (present) stuck on the doorstep where anyone could have walked by and taken it.

or they have received it but postie didn't get a signature so they are claiming back their money - or maybe I am too cynical!

Either way I would ask them to check with their neighbours and sorting office, and wait a bit longer until you refund them.

Well, at least I can get my money back. The postman could equally have left it on their doorstep and walked off for someone to take it... It was way too big for the postman to have been able to get it through the letterbox.
