Are bidders automatically watchers?

Title said it all really. My first sale ends tonight, very excited, but I have 5 watchers and 1 bidder. So does a bidder become a watcher as soon ad they bid or do they have to choose to watch separately?

The item I'm selling is a bit of a tester to see how it all works and I didn't expect people to actually want it. But I've already had to turn down offers because I want to see it to the end.

So I know how much a few people want to spend and the bidder is a different person and am just trying to work out how many more people could be watching.

You can bid without becoming a watcher and watch without becoming a bidder.

P.s. Good luck with the auction. It is highly addictive!

NO they are not.

Thanks, I'm a little worried I may get hooked and end up selling everything on ebay. Already eyeing up other things to sell.

I once had 37 watchers on something and no bastard bid at the end! Gutted.

I started in the summer and I have made over £300 selling what was just clutter in the house. Feel free to join us on the £350 by Christmas thread with any questions.

Thanks I'll go and have a look at the xmas thread.
tanfastic that's rubbish. With what I'm selling I'm glad to get the starting bid let alone anymore.

I recently sold something with 183 views, 31 watchers, and only 3 bidders.

It went for quite a good price, though.

I often have a lot of watchers and then no bid and then have no watchers and a bidding war. There seems to be no sure thing on ebay!
