I have placed a bid for a wardrobe on Ebay - have only bid 5 quid but I may win the item (auction has another few days to go). Thing is, I have recently seen a much, much nicer wardrobe on Ebay to collect very locally and I want that instead! Obviously, somebody may bid more and then I have no problem but my question is, would it be awfully rude if, assuming I am the highest bidder, I pay for the wardrobe but let the sellers know that I won't be collecting (and apologise profusely
) so they can re-list straight away.
Its the first time I've messed up like this as I usually wait until the last few minutes to place a bid. Am assuming the owners just want rid of the wardrobe and this was the cheapest way to do it.
