Paid on paypal via "Pay now" button, then saw message to say Paypal aount wrong???

Is this a scam? Message is in ebay messages, but if I had paid immediately (was out last night) would have paid last night and message was sent mid morning.

I would not be happy not paying via ebay. If they have shut that paypal account will I get an automatic refund? Not sure what happens now.

you should only pay via eBay via the auction - anything else is potentially unsafe.

All sorted! Just had another message saying they have contacted Paypal (who originally asked them to ask me to change payment?) and it has been sorrted by Paypal so item will be posted tomorrow.
