right sold an item on ebay sent it on the 7th nov in the meantime the buyers account has been cancelled(she paid me by paypal)says she no longer a member.then today she has contacted me through a different account saying she has not received the item n that her account was hacked,i also sent other items that same day n they received theirs no problem on the wed 9th.

i'v had a look at her old account at feedback n there seems to be loads from the same people on the same day(can his be done)!!!

now i'v also looked at the new account and it's been opened since june not recently.

thing is is she being genuine or do you think it sounds dodgy,i'v done ebay for years and never had a problem,so what do i do now.i sent it 1st class so still have receipt for that!! i'v also asked for her to send me her address again so i can check it's the one i sent it too,have had no response yet,

well I would ask her to wait 15 working days (3 weeks) and if it hasn't arrived by then you will refund her and you can claim from royal mail for lost item. You are right to check her address too, maybe ask her to check with sorting office or neighbours for her item. It has only been 1 week so it could still turn up.

Her saying account was hacked - that was after she bought your item? If so it shouldn't affect you anyway to be honest, unless of course she is lying about everything and she does in fact have your item, but of course you have no proof of that if it wasn't sent recorded.

If her eBay account is closed she can still open a not received claim with paypal and get her money back that way.

How much was the item for? Seems weird that it was paid for

will wait 3 weeks wasnt sure how long to wait before refund,plus i woundered how would i refund if it's a different account now.
it was for £10 crazy not a huge amount but alot to me.

To refund you need to log into paypal - click on her payment then from there hit refund

it will go back to her paypal, not her eBay account so I don't think it will make a difference if her eBay account has been closed.

Someone today asked me to wait 15 working days i told them basically no way, i refund buyers whose items do not arrive on day 10. Plenty of time for it to arrive. Just because her account is closed does not mean she cannot open a PayPal dispute.
