Help with "Buy it now" pricing

If someone requests to buy it now, I know I don't have to offer them a price, I can just let the auction run its course. But, if I think, okay yes buy it now, I have no idea how much to charge. Is there a thing on eBay where I can see how much similar items have sold for?

yes just search for your item or similar and then scroll down and on the left hit completed items

Search for the item, then click 'Completed listings' about 2/3 the way down the left to see what they sold for.

It really just depends on what you want for it, what you think it is worth.

I often put a BIN on when I list. I look at previous sales for that item and choose an amount about 2/3 of the way up the range of final values. If people think it is a good price they then have to start bidding to remove the BIN, or buy it! I find that once an item has a bid, more people look at it - they probably wonder why my one is better than the others..... and hopefully find out once they look at my listing! Grin
