PayPal doesn't recognise my email address or password. My phone no on there is out of date. I can't get through to anything other than an automated number which tells me to reset my password on the website .... ARRGHH. Losing will to live and need to pay for something on eBay - also slightly worried in case account has been hacked?

Any ideas, info or help ... please!!

Have you tried this?.

Ah thanks - thought that was going to work but it needs my phone number and doesn't have the up to date one - I have no idea which one it does have on the system, could be last two places I lived or an office number, none of which I now know.

many thanks for trying though!

O.M.G.

Just need to rant really. I emailed PayPal - explained they need to get in touch with me because I can't log on, their automated password reset email never arrives (not in junk either) and as the phone no on their system is an old one which I can't remember I can't validate myself that way. I can't ring them as their automated system just keeps telling me how to reset my password or to put in the phone no they have on their system...

So they email me and tell me they will ring me on the number they have for me! I email them back and say that won't work, please use my current number. They email me again and say they've tried calling but the number is not valid (yes I did write my own phone no down correctly).

However, they helpfully suggest, I can change my phone no on my account, here are the steps - 1. Log in. Err.. that would be the account I can't log into, which is why I'm emailing you in the first place. What is it with these people??!

I found emailing them eventually worked, particularly after pointing out I was deaf and didn't use telephones.
But it took well over a fortnight, various scans of docs to Jamaica and Luxembourg where they are, and the initial emails back I still think were from robots not humans with crap English - but hard to tell.

Look online for suggestions of contact - they are notoriously shit.
