I am a complete novice at the whole ebay/paypal malarkey and have just won my second item. Went to pay and could not for the life of me remember my password (in my defence I have a 4 week old dd and toddler so I am doing well if I remember my own name at the moment). I tried repeatedly to reset my password online but no joy - kept getting linked through to the paypal homepage where I started. Two calls to paypal (why does it take so long to actually get through to an advisor??) and still no joy. Meanwhile although it has only been 24 hours the seller is chasing me for payment. Is it safe to pay by debit card but not via paypal? I don't have a credit card I can use. I have emailed the seller to let them know I am having problems with paypal. I have selected 'pay by credit card' on the item and it looks like I have to do this direct with the seller. I have set up another paypal account now as well - have given up with accessing the original one.
Any advice please?
