Sold an item on the 9th of Oct, sent item on the 10th of Oct first class signed for, so should have arrived quickly.

Buyer lefr positive and happy feedback on the 22nd of Oct.

Recieved an item half an hour ago from the buyer saying she recieved the item yesterday, believes it to be a fake and wants a refund.

What should I do?

Could it be that she was meant to message someone else rather than you? I'd clarify with her.

tell them to return it for a refund. once you have checked your security markings to verify it is your item you will refund. of course item must be returned in the same unused condition in which it was sent out.

Was it a high value item, which may be swapped for a cheaper or used item.

Mind you - could the buyer be mistaken if they left f/b on the 22nd?

Or you could wait and let them take it to dispute, but I would advise trying to sort it out now rather than go down that route.

Yes, the fact that they could be confused occured to me after posting here in a bit of a panic.

From their profile I see that they buy a lot of this item. It is an item that is known for swapping for fakes.

I have replied pointing out that she has already left fb some time ago, so cannot possibly have just recieved the item.

Crossing my fingers that it is just a mix up.

what date was the item signed for? Could it have been delayed?

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 30/10/2011 13:08

Possibly, how do I find out when something was signed for? I have very lucky, have been selling for three years and this is the first problem I have ever had.

I just find it really odd that a buyer would leave feeback saying 'Fantastic item, super seller, really pleased' a week before recieving the item?

Haven't heard back yet from my email yet.

you sent it recorded delivery? go to royal mail and put the number in at the track and trace.

Just dug through everything, I have an 'interesting' filing system.

It was signed for on the 14th of Oct.

I am really hoping this is a mistake.

It does sound very odd indeed - hope they have confused you with another seller.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 30/10/2011 15:11

She just emailed me, was a mix up Smile

Thanks for all your imput, at least I know how to track a parcel nowGrin

Glad to read that. It didn't sound right, so my first thought was a mix up.
