Payment question

I'm fairly new to eBay - never sold anything and only bought a few items. I've just won some baby clothing and was all set to pay via paypal on my phone but it wouldn't let me do that and came up with a message saying I can't do it on the mobile app as I'm not registered in a country which supports it so I need to use the website. This was strange as I've used it before.

Anyway, I was about to do it on the laptop but I have just noticed I've had a message from the seller and I have no idea what they mean. I was sent an invoice just after the end of the auction yesterday but now get this message which says "sorry but my email address has been put in wrong so could you send it to my email address straight to paypay its..." Am I being dense but I don't understand what they mean. Could someone very kindly explain!

Thanks :)

they should have their paypal account linked to their eBay account. I guess they have put the wrong email address in, but they can easily correct this.

Do not pay them direct via the new email address, ask them to amend the details with eBay/paypal to the correct address and then you can pay them.

Wow, that was quick - thanks!

Am I correct in thinking that if I use the email address they have given I would have no protection if the item doesn't arrive/is faulty etc?

yes - and it doesn't automatically tie in with eBay that you have paid for the item either.
