paypal question

Not really an ebay-related. A person who I know very little but who I had one large transaction in the past (sold a summer house in another country) asked me to send a document related to this transaction. I have to arrange a private courier to DHL depot. All in all it is around 250GBP charge, which I am happy to pay if she sends the money immediately. Bank transfer will take a few days.

What about paypal? How much should I request to cover the fees or is there an option to make the person who sends the money to pay those? I am paypal clueless...

There are Paypal calculators you can use to calculate the fee, just add that to the 250 charge. Here is one.

you are sending a person you know very little £250 for a courier? - this isn't a scam is it?

bemybebe · 26/10/2011 18:47

no-no, she bought a house from me and need a notarized document. this document cost + courier cost=250gbp, so I am asking her to pay before i let this document out of my hands... i will have hard time tracking her down otherwise (different country plus i am pregnant and have no interest chasing her for my payment)

could she not send you the paypal payment as a gift then there aren't any fees?
