Can I sell them on EBay?

How do people know I'm genuine? How do I know they're genuine?

Gig is next year. I only got them by mistake. DH spent all morning online trying to get 4 tickets for him and his mates. He got to the payment authorisation page and then accidentally closed the window whilst flicking to Facebook to brag

He ended up buying some on the telephone but this afternoon I have been emailed to say I have 4 tickets. DHs friend has taken one but I don't want the others - they're on my bloody credit card and I only agreed he could use it if his friends transferred the money to me today.

So, any advice?

Shock

Seriously. £100+ profit at the expense of friends and family?

Tequilamockinbat · 22/10/2011 15:34

So you actually bought the extras in order to make a profit then?

kumquatsarethelonelyfruit · 22/10/2011 15:36

A bit mean to profit out of friends and family. Do the right thing!

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 22/10/2011 15:37

Are you going to make a profit? Please say these were more expensive tickets.....

KellyKettle · 22/10/2011 15:38

Nope, bought them in error like I said. Or rather, didn't realise until I received the email saying I had tickets.

I left the negotiations to DH, I don't know his cousin.

If you are making a profit on them you are no better than a tout........ Even of you got them by mistake.

Wormshuffler · 22/10/2011 15:39

Ok then dh is no better than a tout.

KellyKettle · 22/10/2011 15:40

And not that it matters but I've told my friend she can have them at cost if DHs cousins friends don't want them.

I don't even know whats so awful about touts. I dont go to gigs or concerts, I dont buy tickets for anything. I posted for advice, I got it - thank you.

Now I've a one week old DD to see to so I'll leave you to slag me off.

First of all it's illegal.

Secondly genuine fans who have been unlucky enough to not get tickets are effectively held to ransom so unscrupulous people can make a quick buck. Not on.

trixymalixy · 22/10/2011 15:53

Sorry don't mean illegal, it is against the terms and conditions on the ticket, So a civil offence and you could be prosecuted.

KellyKettle · 22/10/2011 16:13

Look, I genuinely wasn't trying to fleece family and friends. I am not interested, I just want them off my credit card.

I had a baby last week, Ebaying isn't my top priority so I left it to DH, he was the one who bought them in the first place and I doubt my friends would be interested.

He's admitted he got a bit greedy with it and so I have just emailed my friend who offered a fortune and told her she can just pay what I paid and as long as the charges on my card are covered, I don't care.

Ps thanks for explaining trixy I had heard of the term touts but didn't understand it. Can understand why they'd be disliked.
Fortunately In The Night Garden Live wasn't as popular as Stone Roses so I have never encountered them...
