Just a quick query about dispatch/posting

If you bought and paid for something last Thursday lunchtime, it came with free 2nd class delivery and you paid extra for First Class RM, when you you expect it to come?

It came today, was dispatched yesterday 1st. I think it's a bit poor, was hoping for Saturday (optimistic) or Monday at the latest. What do you think?

Depends how long it stated before posting (post within 3 days or suchlike). If it was me I would have it in the post friday afternoon latest, so sat or mon would be accurate.

It all depends what they said on the auction. Did they specify they would post within 1 working day? I post within 24 hours of payment, but sellers do have 7 days to dispatch as per paypal rules. Posting any later than 7 days is lax in my view.

It said to arrive within 2-3 business days for 1st class. If I hadn't paid the extra I wouldn't be arsed how long it took, TBH. But I am a bit cheesed off.

No. Or I wouldn't have bothered. Definitely delivery within 2-3 business days. I should probably ask them to refund the extra I paid to upgrade?

Arrival within 4-6 business days for ecomony/free delivery. Which is what I got, it arrived 6 days after I paid(paid immediately)

so they didn't specify how long it would take them to post it then?

when you click on the postage details of an auction, scroll down and it will say will usually post within x day - what does it say on theirs?

It says delivery within 2-3 business days, including time to dispatch, for 1st class, I double checked. Messaged them yesterday am asking them to check but no reply yet. Just a polite enquiry pointing out I had paid to upgrade to quick delivery and it hadn't yet arrived. (I knew it was too early to be lost or anything, just seemed slow to arrive IYKWIM)

on the listing it is how long before dispatch on order detials it is estimated arrival time, my listings are set up as post within 3 business days, i don't go to post office every day, so when you pay if second class will give estimated time of arrival as 6-8 days 3 days to get to post office and 3 days in system ( royal mail aims to get about 80% of 2nd class delivered in 3 days )

so if says 3 days for dispatch then that would still be 4 days so pay thursday lunchtime packed friday posted monday, here you could post in village at 2pm on monday but it would have tuesday postmark as parcels are collected about 12 so would not technically be collected till tuesday then arrives wednesday

alot of businesses on ebay are people working from home so still may not be posting every day, but wait and see what they say, that's why I do not offer first class what is the point in next day delivery if it takes 3 days to get to post office

It arrived Weds, 6 days after purchase. I wouldn't have paid the extra had I known it would take so long. Not very happy.

if you look on any item and change page from description to postage and payments,

it will say something like

£5 economy postage (royal mail standard parcels) within 6-8 days

then underneath it says domestic despatch time and there seller should have another figure mine says 3 working days of cleared payment

then underneath that it has return policy

somewhere on the listing they will have to state both despatch time and ebay automatically works out estimated delivery based on postal service chosen

however i still feel that 6 days from payment to delivery for first class is a bit rubbish and understand you being annoyed
