First ever negative feedback - not true! - what do I do?

I have just been left very negative feedback for some baby shoes I sold. The feedback is inaccurate and I am very suprised. They say the shoes were dirty which they weren't. They were in good condition and the picture was accurate, good light and good image. I have nearly 400 feedbacks, and all of them are very good.

i'm so suprised. Is there anything I can do?

I haven't contacted them or left feedback yet.

no nothing you can do unless they agree to revise it

email the buyer, offer refund, apologise. then maybe they will revise it. Could they have confused your item with another?

otherwise, leave a reply, stating full refund would have been given had buyer contacted you first, etc.

buyers remorse probably - I had the same, buyer said item was dirty and thin - total lies. It was a brand new Joe Browns cardi, she just didn't like it so instead of returning it she got nasty. She even admitted it was a lie, but refused to communicate or remove it. Some people are just vindictive.

Just leave sensible follow up and rise above it - is only a red dot on a website after all.

1 negative in 400 sales will not affect anything its highly annoying especially as she did not contact you but do not stop most buyers take absolutely no notice of 1 negative, I don't bother I would if you had 4 in 2 months though but that would be unusual

I've just had my first negative feedback too - I primarily buy rather than sell, but I had a clearout of Lush soaps that I'd acquired from various ebay sales and Lush forum swaps. I put a pic up, the soap was in chunks in a bag, said it was a clearout. Now someone has complained saying that it "wasn't new, fell apart in my hand, disapointed". It's soap fgs! I never said "brand new from the shop this morning, smells totally fresh!!!" - what were they expecting? And if it fell apart then that could just be a fault in the batch since it's all handmade and natural; that would be a problem for Lush rather than me since I'm not a one-woman soap factory.

They never even messaged me first about it either, just put the feedback up. It's totally pissed me off.

It's bloody anmoying. The worst thing is there is no comeback. You aren't able to leave them negative feedback I haven't used my accounnt since. I'm trying to avoid ebay full stop TBH. I know I'll probaby fall back into it but I'm really off it now.

i think it is most annoying when it is out of the blue. If the buyer had contacted first you could have offered return and refund - but without them giving you a chance to resolve the issue it just seems so unfair and unjust

I advise leave calm businesslike response and then try and forget and move on

It is just a red dot, i know it is upsetting, but it is no reflection on you or your character.

I always look at sellers negs, and if there is a polite ' so sorry you are unhappy, wish you'd contacted me first to resolve' I think that makes the seller look fab and reasonable and wanting to sort it out.

If they reply with something horrid or bitchy like nightmare buyer, worst ever, etc, then I hit the back button and buy elsewhere.

did you email the buyer asking to resolve? Did they offer any explanation or solution?

Don't worry about a neg, it will be gone in 12 months anyway.
