seller won't sell...

I won a climbing frame on ebay for £11.
paid by paypal.
e-mailed to see when we could collect, only to be told that actually the kids want to keep it now so they've refunded me Angry

i am guessing they were hoping for more (similar ones had been going for around £50, not sure why this one didn't)

what should I do? dispute? kick up a fuss? send an e-mail saying how convenient and maybe they should add a reserve next time?
Clearly I don't want to force them to sell it and have to deal with angry sellers when I pick it up.

ebay is making me really, really, really cross atm. the last 3 or 4 transactions I've had have been nothing but trouble

Is there an option for reporting non performing sellers like non paying bidders? If so, do that and leave them negative feedback. I've had someone selling a game that went for less than they expected. They then claimed it was damaged, then relisted it a few days later. Save them as a 'favourite' (ha) seller and see if they try to sell it again.

i'd told the kids as well. which i guess was silly, before we'd actually got it...

gah

i am really angry.
i think i will see if i can report them to ebay too without opening up a dispute thingy

I've had loads of bad experiences in the last couple of months, really slow delivery, two non deliveries and faulty goods I tend to use amazon more now. Think I'd be tempted to contact eBay or leave negative feedback.

You acn report, they've caused a breech of contract.

Sorry it happened to you: it frequently happens to us with things we buy for teh boys becuase people assume we are buying for our ebay shop. Because of course we want to list kids clothes in with our specialist electronics range Hmm

I think you'd have to send payment again and then open a case. I would wait and see if you get anywhere, but definitely leave negative feedback afterwards.

no don't send payment

you can report a non performing seller - if it won't let you go to eBay live chat and get their advice.

by the way you can not set a reserve lower than £50 so instead you have to start sale at the minimum you are prepared to take, so start at 4.99 14.99 29.99 or 49.99 because 1p more put you in next category for insertion fees much cheaper to pay £1 to start at 49.99 than start free at 99p but only sell for £22

i haven't sent payment. I did the non-performing seller thiing, and left negative feedback.

if he had started the auction at £20 or £30 i would probably have still bid, that's the silly thing. gah

anyway, back to watching more of them! although i may well try and buy from preloved or gumtree now
