Payment went to the wron Paypal account ?

Hi Ive won an item and paid straight away using the Pay now facility on ebay but the seeler is saying that it's gone to a closed Paypla account and needs to go to another one. I know the seller is legitimate but how can I stop or reverse the payment sent ?

if unclaimed you can stop it from paypal - sign in and find the payment and cancel it

if it has been claimed the seller needs to refund or you do an item not received claim in paypal

the seller by the way should have the right paypal account linked to their ebay - if it is wrong I would be very wary of sending money to a different unlinked account to be honest

This happened to me, the first time I sold something via the eBay app it automatically linked to my old email address and I didn't notice.

Just cancel it but make sure that the seller registers his correct paypal address with them, don't just send him the money.
