The 'seller' will not let me have the item!

This evening I won a very nice bridesmaids/prom dress for my little girl. The seller said that it had cost £300 originally, tho I doubt that and it does not matter to me anyway. The starting price was 99p. i won it for just over £10, and paid straight away by Paypal. (as usual).
Now I have received a message from the seller saying that it was at a 'fixed' price, and that she would not let it go for less than £100.
Oh, and she says that she will refund my money.
What do I do now???

mumofsoon - not a divan bed & mattress is it? Sounds eerily like an experience we had a few weeks ago - it did arrive eventually though. No phone call, just randomly arrived at 7.30am one day Shock.

ghost do you screw over people who try and buy from you and the ebay system to get around fees? No? than that's why you won't get negative feedback. this person deserves it

Bloodymary · 25/08/2011 21:46

Thanks all of you for your support, and YES I did indeed leave a negative. Glad to know that you mostly agree with me Grin

oh blimey am sorry for my opinion! and dp agrees with you lot, seems i'm just a mug Wink

it's dp's account and so many buyers screw him over, i always try to see things from the sellers side.

he got a neutral tonight, for forgetting to send something recorded. he sent the buyer the full postage payment back yet the buyer still left neutral feedback.

guess i am very jaded from the whole situation!

nasal i am currently haunting the maltings shopping centre. Grin

That's different, I would have never leave in that case, but your dp wasn't deliberatly trying to defraud the customer, it was a mistake he rectified.

Bloodymary · 25/08/2011 22:12

ghost this is the first time that I have ever left a negative in over 5 years. In the past I have had a couple of occasions when I could/should have left a neutral, but I have just not left any feedback.
It is not a decision I take lightly.

Sorry that happened to your DP. That is wrong.

Ghost the seller may have given the refund but Bloodymary didn't request or want a refund she wanted the item that she won fair and square. If the seller had made a mistake with the listing she should suck it up and honour the transaction as per the contract she entered into.
