For large items I usually use parcel2go.com and choose from their quotes depending on pick up times and price. Sometimes they have collected the same day and delivered the following day. the last time I used them DHL collected within the hour.
I've always found the service excellent but I don't always pick the same courier as they do vary.
There are lots of comparison sites out there to choose from and the costs can vary but often they are cheaper than going direct to a provider I find.

I use www.p4d.co.uk/
Always had good service from them.
ParcelMonkey is meant to be cheaper but I haven't used them.

parcel monkey got bad reviews. I like senditnow.com (parcelforce) for pushchairs as you don't have to input dimensions with them Grin

Thanks Maxy - I am guessing you don't want the xlr

I really really rate p4d, reasonable prices with lots of options, nearly always use them, have stuff sent overseasvwith them as I trust them with my items, and they offer s good choice of couriers
