Can/should I offer a 'buy-it-now' price for my item?

Someone has contacted me about an item I currently have on eBay for £2.99 and asked whether I would consider changing to buy it now. No-one has bid on this item yet (just over 3 days to go) but it has 5 watchers.

Can I do this? If so, is this common practice and how do I do it?

Thanks!

If nobody has bid on it then yes you can do a buy it now. I think you go in to the item under the "selling" tab and then edit it. Dont remove it and offer cash in hand make sure you do it through ebay. And also dont let them bully you into a price. You can alter it to buy it now and for sale still so that if they decide not to buy it now you wont lose your chance for normal bids iyswim.

yes you can do it if you want - but you don't have to, many sellers don't and prefer to leave the auction to run.

If you want to add a buy it now, go to revise item and scroll down to add it.
