Can I give 4 out of 5 stars in one category without affecting a seller's 100% positive feedback rating?

Hi,
I have bought an item which I am not completely pleased with but don't want to return it. If I rate it as 'positive' and give full marks for all but one category will the seller's feedback rating of 100% (on 5000 items) be affected?
TIA

If you mark it positive they keep the 100%.

the stars aren't the same as the % I don't think. I could be wrong.......
I thought you clicked positive (which contributes to the %) and THEN completed the stars....

yes anything less than 5 stars can adversely affect the seller, and if their stars are too low eBay can restrict them being able to list and sell items.

Only a high number of 1 and 2 stars will affect a seller's status - and that is their power seller or top rated status not their % rating.
A 4* will count as good rather than excellent.

If the seller is a business they have to comply with distance selling regulations, which mean buyers can inspect an item before deciding to keep it. The buyer can then return the item if they choose to without obligation.

It's worth knowing that because too many ebay businesses still put "No returns accepted" which is absolute tosh.

It sounds like your item just wasn't exactly how you thought it would be, in which case you need to decide whether it's still good so a 4 or acceptable so 3.
