What percentage do I take when selling for others?

Hi, I've recently sold some items of clothing for my Mum and plan to give her the money. What percentage do I take from the final value to cover fees? I take it I don't take it from the final value as that would include the postage and packing? Could you help me out as I've only sold items which belong to me before?

ebay fee calculator will help

www.ebaycalculator.co.uk/

obviously you will need to check paypal too as the amount you receive with them will be after their fees have been taken into consideration too.

I think that commercial organisations who sell for others on ebay charge 50%

Thanks for that, I can't get over the 50% mind you, seems really steep but I suppose they working for a profit, I'll check both ebay and paypal. Thanks.
