Changing postage - combining two items - HELP

So someone has bought two items from me, and has asked for there to be a discount, which seems fair enough, but how do I change the amount? Ive gone to the invoice bit and it talks about recalculating but wont do it.

Anyone know how to do this please??!!

change the amount in the postage bit but don't recalculate - preview if you wish, and then send

I still sometimes hit recalculate by mistake then realise what I should have done. This comes up so often I am surprised that eBay hasn't changed the wording on the invoice page!

It is very unclear, I thought I'd change the amount on the invoice and update it. Ah well, you live and learn!
