I sold an item on eBay and got a message from the buyer that it was rather dusty and they are very dissatisfied. I have offered to take it back.and refund, is that right? Do I also pay for the return postage? It's in as new condition, 'designer' brand and sold for a pittance so I would rather have it back than sell it for even less.

There was a bit of dust on it from being washed, static etc which I had brushed off but clearlyi missed some. I stated it was used, is it normal to complain about this? EBay seems more stress than it is worth!

yes, just ask them to return it and then you can issue a full refund once you receive it. As you acknowledge there is dust on it, it is good form to refund their return postage too.

I'm surprised they would rather go to all this hassle instead of get out a lint brush, but each to their own. I suspect it may not be in the size they wanted. Have had 2 messages about how angry they are. Is this common on ebay?

How do I recover my fees from eBay? Thanks for replying
