Picking up a pushchair...

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is a silly question but am a newby Ebayer and not sure what is the done thing here...

Am thinking of bidding on a pushchair this evening. It is described as being in good condition. It is pick up only.

I am just wondering, if I win it and pay for it on paypal then go to pick it up and discover it isn't in good condition what do I do then? Do I take it or leave it with seller? How then do I go about applying for a refund with Paypal?

I realise I may be getting my knickers in a twist about nothing as may not win pushchair anyway and if I do it may be in fine condition. But still would like some advice if pushchair is not as described...

Thank-you!

I would pay cash on collection and not take it if it wasn't as described.

I think if they then report you as a non payer you can just say the item is not as described.

I would go cash on collection too. Message the seller now before you bid to check they are happy with this.

But I thought if you buy via Paypal you are covered in case of item not being as described? Is this right?

I guess I am also concerned that if I get pushchair home and it falls apart after a couple of uses I am not protected as a buyer if I have paid in cash?

I realise that buying second hand is a bit of a gamble but as the buggy I want is still relatively expensive even second hand I want to minimise the risk as much as possible...

Thanks for your advice. I have emailed seller to see if they will accept cash on collection as I guess then if it looks in bad condition I am not stuck with trying to reclaim money from Paypal...

But if seller only wants payment through Paypal [and I pay for it this way] and when I go to collect buggy I see it is in bad condition what do I do then? Do I leave buggy with seller and attempt to reclaim through Paypal or do I take buggy and then try to reclaim money paid and then return buggy to seller?

Confused

Thanks!
