Calculating postage - heavy box!

My dad has asked me to sell an old reel-to-reel player on eBay for him. It weighs about 14kg.
Previously I have only ever sold postable things on eBay (books etc) so I'm not sure how to go about this!

Can anyone recommend a good, cheap courier? Or it is best to stick with "buyer collects"?

Go onto the Royal Mail website and you can calculate cost of posting by size and weight.

I did look there but could only find postage for letters and packets.
This would be a large box. Is that still a "packet"?

Thanks for those!
Parcel Monkey looks to be the most competitive on price.
