Item not 'Buy now' - can I ask seller if I can buy it now? or not?

There is something I really want but I want it NOW not in 8 days. I don't use ebay really so have no idea of rules & etiquette. If something is not available to 'Buy now', can I contact the seller and make an offer to buy it and collect it next week?

You can ask them to change it to a buy it now as long as no one else has bid on it yet. Good luck Smile

yes i have done this, just ask before someone bids. usually ok if you offer a reasonable price.

You can ask the seller if they will offer a buy it now price - it is up to them to decide whether they want to take it or not. Have you looked at completed prices to see how much the item you are interested in have gone for recently so you know whether your price would be likely to be acceptable to them?

People do ask, but it's up to the seller whether or not they take you up on it. If there are no bids on the item they could amend the listing to include a BIN and then you would need to be quick off the mark. You shouldn't expect to buy it outside of ebay though, that's cheeky.

Ok - thanks. I know how much these things go for and there is 1 bid on it already. I'm rubbish at ebay!
