I sold a top on 6th April and surprisingly received immediate good feedback from the buyer. She hadn't paid or received it. I checked her feedback and much of it said "quick payment" etc and was good.

I sent her a friendly email thanking her for the feedback and gently hinting "I look forward to sending you your item on receipt of payment"

Three days later, nothing. After four days I sent an invoice and a friendly note.

Today, five days later, I sent a friendly note asking if she was still buying it and saying that my unpaid item assiatant kicks in after 8 days and I always prefer to do things amicably.

Today, she sent me a note saying she will pay on Friday, with about 8 kisses "xxxx"

I am not happy. You can't buy something and expect the seller to wait 9 days for payment.

What would you do? I am really annoyed as I have had a glut of late or non payers lately. I absolutely love quick payers!

Well I wouldn't be so patient. I'd also be cross that she didn't ask to delay payment - as a matter of courtesy.

I'd report her as a NPB, which may be a pita, but so is she.

I've just had to file my first NPB - first in 8 yrs of casual selling. I wish eBay would bring back being able to neg buyers.

I wouldn't report her as a NPB as yet - she has said she will pay on Friday. Yes, it's a nuisance but in the scheme of things and all that....

I don't mind late payers as long as they say they are going to pay and give you some indication when. What annoys me are people who don't pay and then ignore polite emails so you have no choice but to report as a NPB just to reclaim your fees.
