Hi,

I've taken advantage of the few listing weekend and listed a number of baby items. I've just noticed that some one who is currently winning one if the bids is actually in the Ukraine despite my stating UK bidders only still a couple of days to go so hopefully she will be out bid but what happens if she does win?

I've had a few people contact me offering a price to buy it privately. Is this normal. My gut reaction is no due as I feel its unfair to people that are bidding or watching the items.

Also a few odd questions who'd have thought Ebay would be so strange yet so addictive Smile

Any advice would be great

Thanks

If you don't want bids from outside the Uk you need to set you preferences to block bids from items you don't post to.
It is no problem posting outside the Uk and it is best to state the cost on the listing - just look up the cost on the royal mail website. If this bidder wins, find out the cost of postage and send an invoice.

hi

I think you can cancel a bid if you want.

I've also specified UK buyers, but have had EU bidders winning on my items. Generally, they just have to pay the extra postage and I've never had a problem with them, thankfully.

I also get people asking how much I'd want to sell it immediately, and have always said that I want people to bid via auction, so it's fair. You can, if you like, set a 'Buy It Now' price so that there's the option of bidding/buying immediately.

Thank you for your advice. She has been outbid now so hopefully problem solved and next time I'll makes sure I use the right filters
