I bought a children's game - not easily available now, for £5.00 and paid £7.00 postage - fair enough as it was £6.24 recorded delivery. The game was described as 'boxed as new', but when it arrived it was incomplete and clearly played with - there is a game card missing and no instruction leaflet - all the pieces were loose in the box. I am surprised, as the seller has 100% feedback, and contacted me promptly to say she had sent the item. I have mailed her - I wouldn't want to leave her a negative without giving her the chance to resolve it.
I am not sure what my 'rights' are on this - I have never had a problem buying or selling on Ebay (100% feedback as a seller and buyer) so don't quite know what to do! I paid via Paypal.

I would give her 24hours to respond before opening a Paypal dispute as the item is not as listed.

A good seller would allow you to return the game and refund you all your original costs plus the costs of return postage. Or if the game is still playable and you wanted to keep it and could work round the missing items, she could offer you a partial refund.

Ideally you will work with her to achieve a solution you are both happy with. If she tells you to fuck off or refuses a refund, that's when you open up a dispute on eBay.
