Paypal want me to verify before I can sell?

Hi, I have just recently put some clothes on e bay to sell. When I tried to put on another one today I was asked to go to mypay pal and verify my bank account details. Pay pal will be sending me two small amounts into my account and I have to tell them what these amounts are to show that I am me ?

Can anyone explain it and tell me if this is usual. I am not a business or doing bulk. Am very new to all this.

You have to have a verified PayPal account to sell on eBay now.

Yes this is fine and not a scam. I had to do this after a few months of buying and selling activity.

Yes, I had to do this as a newbie. The amounts were soemthing like 2p and 6p. Normal and non dodgy.
