I sold a high value item on ebay last week. Buyer paid straight away. DH wrapped monster of a parcel and got it sent with Parcelforce the following day. Parcel delivered to address although not signed by recipient on Monday but I haven't heard back from the recipient.

Is this a cause for concern or is no news good news?

If the parcel was delivered, then its RM responsibility. Just email the buyer and ask them if they have it!

RitaMorgan · 17/03/2011 21:58

Was it signed for by someone?

lilmamma · 17/03/2011 21:58

sometimes people dont get back right away,i know when i have bought stuff if ive had a busy week at work,i will wait unttil the weekend and then go back online,so dont worry.did you get your payment,if so i wouldnt be worried about feedback.

you can always contact ebay if you are worried and they can deal with it on your behalf.

thisisyesterday · 17/03/2011 22:05

there is no rule that they have to leave feedback.

yes, it's polite to do so, but you know not everyone is polite!
maybe they just can't be arsed.

boogiewoogie · 17/03/2011 22:16

Yes Rita, it was signed by someone but not by the named recipient.

I've not sold anything more than about £10 before and this is my first huge sale on behalf of dh who hates Ebay. Just nervous they may say they haven't received it or is broken and have charges reversed.

I think if you sent it recorded and someone signed for it, then you're in the clear.

AlmightyCitrus · 17/03/2011 23:38

Have you left them feedback?
Some people won't leave any feedback at all unless they get some first, whether they are buyer or seller.
Or, as thisisyesterday says, they can't be arsed.

stylenotfashion · 18/03/2011 14:32

I thought the impetus was on the seller to leave feedback first...no?

ragged · 18/03/2011 14:35

Just email and ask them if it arrived okay.

FabbyChic · 18/03/2011 14:53

Providing a signature shows on line then that is good enough for eBay/Paypal in the case of a non receipt dispute. Sometimes people don't leave feedback. It is voluntary.

I wouldn't email them if it does not arrive they will let you know.

Don't badger for feedback either it could result in you getting a neg.

FabbyChic · 18/03/2011 14:54

Oops however, in the case of a chargeback if the item is above £150 only the person you sold to should have signed for it, but chargebacks are rare.
