Case denied by Buyer but will not communicate with me!

A couple of weeks ago, I listed a massive box of my DS's dinosaurs for sale, collection only. A buyer contacted me and asked if he were to win these, could he organise a courier to collect them. I confirmed I would be more than happy with this. The buyer went on to win them. The item ended last Tuesday 9 March.

Since then I have had NO communication from him at all. I have sent the invoice twice, and sent 2 separate messages, asking him to confirm the courier arrangements, and then to confirm that he still wanted these. I have had no response. I then sent him another message saying that if I heard nothing by 5pm yesterday, I would relist the item. I heard nothing.

So, yesterday I opened a case, in order that I can reclaim the final value charges. Today, I hear from Ebay that he has denied to close the transaction, and that I should now complete. So, I have sent him another message asking him to open a line of communication regarding payment and delivery.

So - my question, bearing in mind he has not bothered to communicate with me as yet, not even an acknowledgement, what do I do now?? Please help!

Why did you open a cancellation request and not a non payment dispute. You are stuck now and they can leave you negative feedback. Pull their contact details and ring them.

I hope they did not go for a lot, as you are not covered by seller protection when you yourself cannot provide tracking and proof of receipt, allowing a buyer to arrange a courier when they pay via PayPal is not really the done thing.

Thanks FabbyChic, I opened a cancellation request because I still have the dinosaurs. Buyer has made no attempt to either pay or contact me, and I thought it would be better to cancel the transaction, so I could get the final value fee refunded and I could relist them.

I do not understand (a) why he cannot open a line of communication when I am so obviously trying to complete the transaction and (b) why will he leave me negative feedback when I still have the items and he has not paid? Am not sure I am too happy with calling him to be honest, what will he be like over the phone when he can't even be bothered to email me?

I do understand what you are saying about Paypal, but how do I now request he pay me any other way?

If I hear nothing from this buyer, can I now leave it til, say, Monday and then open an non-payment case?

YOu cannot open another case. You already opened a cancellation request so now you cannot open a non payment dispute.

Sorry.

I did exactly the same thing as you, and then learnt by my mistake. I couldn't believe somebody would ignore invoices and messages then actually refuse a cancellation request Shock Obviously there are people with completely different ways of thinking! If you send a message to ebay they will eventually refund you your fees.
