I've heard horror stories of people trying to claim that it's broken in transit and sending their faulty phones back to receive the refund, other than collection only (which narrows the chance of selling) what can NFL to protect myself?

Hi I sold my old iPhone through mazuma mobile. They were great sent out a pre-paid envelope next day for me to send phone but I chose to send special delivery through the post office which has £500 insurance. I supplied my bank details and £130 went in the same day they received. I chose them after reading a lot of positive reviews.

That's not too bad, if I can't sell it through eBay or Facebook I'll look into that, thank you :)

Remember to remove your personal stuff from it.

I've had a couple of phones off ebay - invariably they contain pictures of erm... ahem

well, it wasn't a hammond organ, put it that way

Mine is a 16GB 3G the price seems to range greatly on eBay, some aren't going for much yet others are sky high!

If you have less than 100 feedback or less than 20 selling dsr's your payment may be held by PayPal under the 21 day hold, even though the payment shows as pending in PayPal you still have to send the phone within seven days to be eligible for seller protection.

You would be better placed to put your phone on a BIN with immediate payment only, and only ever send to the address on the PayPal transaction page by special delivery.

if you must auction it do not fall for fake PayPal emails saying you will get the money once you have provided tracking information that is just bollocks and not true, you only send when the money shows either as cleared funds in PayPal or in the pending balance because of the hold.

The sky high ones could be the ones being won by scammers.

Have you checked completed listings?

You can buy your phone on PAYG now for a little under £150 I'm sure, you aren't looking at getting much more than a ton then in that case.

I've sold through Mazuma before as well and had no problems.
