P&P issue help!

I live in Spain. The cost of P&P from here is so high that it often deters buyers. My neighbour was meant to be driving to the UK next weekend and offered to take and post my packages so that I could offer UK P&P. I listed 85 items all due to end in the next few days. There was been an accident and she may not now be driving to the UK although she may fly and be able to take a few items for me. I don´t know what to do. At the moment only a few items will sell.

I was thinking that I should wait it out and see what happens and hope for the best and if she can´t take the items I´ll hopefully know before I invoice any buyers and can explain the situation, advise them what the P&P would be from here and give them the option to pull out if they´d prefer.

What do you think?

tbh any items that end with bids should really be sent for the amount stated on the listing. This may mean you have to stand the loss yourself and post from where you are. There may still be problems should they take longer than that of UK domestic postage.

If it was me I would pull all the ones with no bids, and perhaps contact the highest bidders of the ones left and explain the situation. If they are ok with the fact it may take longer in the post you can end the bidding early. I really wouldn't ask them to pay extra postage though. The p&p stated on the listing would have been one the factors they considered prior to bidding.

I think you should end or revise your listings because it's not fair on buyers.

If someone bids on something of yours and misses out on another persons and then gets an email from you saying postage may be higher and they don't want to pay it, they've missed out on something else...does that make sense?

Thanks ladies, is there any way to end them all at once. I tried to check them all and end but it wouldn´t let me because they are not on at a fixed price.
