I can't get on ebay to list items for sale right now

Anyone else having this problem?

I can log in to view 'my ebay' no problem, but when I try to sell something it takes me back to the log in screen and then won't log me in.

Is this a common problem if lots of people are trying to list stuff at the same time?
There are no insertion fees today so I guess it could be busy, but surely an organisation like ebay can cope with this traffic?

try clearing your cookies

thanks slm - that's what I did on the advice of my dh and it worked. I had no idea how to delete cookies for just one app, so good job he was here. Odd as I was able to list stuff yesterday no problem.

You should clear cookies and cache daily.

I specifically prefer not to actually. Why do you think I should.

I am logged in and viewing my ebay but each time I try to list it asks me to sign in again but it does'nt work!

That's exactly what I had frazzled. Have you tried deleting all of your ebay cookies?

tried deleting everything and it still will not let me list!

typical, wait til kids are in bed to get a load of junk stuff listed and it will not let me!!

Have you tried the classic solution of shutting down and restarting your machine?

going to try it now, looking on ebay community it appears to be a problem for a couple of people but no real answer why. thanks for letting me have a moan

I've been on ebay twice today and each time i've had a threat try to get through my security so may be something odd is going on.
Just in case anyone has the same problem and you get a pop up telling you there is a threat DO NOT try to cross it off or close it down. Go down to the bottom bar, right click to bring up the task manager and close it down by pressing end now.
